Committing time to your staff is the most important step that you can take to build a growth focused practice and live a more synchronized life.

Dedicating time to your staff demonstrates their importance and is the foundation for building a high functioning practice.

Consistent planned communication shows value for your staff and provides the foundation for a strong practice infrastructure.

To determine if you are devoting time to your staff simply look at your calendar for the past 90 days and count the numbers of meetings that had with your full staff. If the average is less than four per month, then you are not dedicating enough time with your staff.

Frequent communication provides you and your staff with an opportunity to align your vision with their responsibilities and ultimately practice results. Staff communication drives performance, accountability and reduces employee turnover.

Building a high functioning practice starts with a high functioning staff and this requires that you dedicate time with your staff each week. It is not a task that should be given the time you have left over from your other responsibilities. It is a priority and must be embedded into your practice calendar.

So if you are truly ready to move your practice forward in 2021, start by scheduling weekly staff meetings.
