From a healthier life to a healthier bank account, the new year is an opportunity to improve our personal and professional lives.
With over two decades of management experience, I’ve worked with businesses across a spectrum of volume and profitability, in all regions of the country. During this experience, I learned many valuable lessons but none more valuable than the impact of leadership on financial results.
I discovered that successful results are driven by intentional leadership and that the foundation of successful leadership is a commitment to communication. Effective communication is a commitment to a staff and aligns the employees of an organization behind financial goals while also driving accountability.
Developing a leadership strategy requires intention but it doesn’t have to be complex. If you’re ready to strengthen your practice in 2024, implement these three steps.
Step 1: Determine Your Practice Values
Your values are the foundation of your practice. From patient care to teamwork, values ensure that your staff has clarity in prioritizing their responsibilities and making decisions.
Step 2: Identify Your Practice Goals
To identify your goals, determine your key revenue drivers and ask yourself what a successful week looks like in your practice. Is it seeing twenty new patients a week? Is it completing twenty procedures a week? Your practice goals must support your financial goals and requires consistent tracking.
Step 3: Communicate Consistently with Your Staff
Meeting with your staff is an investment in your practice. Consistent communication connects your staff’s daily responsibilities to practice results and propels individual growth and ultimately practice growth.
So, if you are ready to move your practice forward in 2024, consider what you are doing as the leader to strengthen your practice and implement these three steps.
